Stress/Relaxation

When your body is under stress, it is in a state of “fight or flight”. When you are in this state of stress, the body senses that everything else needs to be put on hold. Food goes undigested, breathing is shallow and the body fails to repair or restore itself. So constant stress is debilitating for the entire body and nervous systems, and can play a role in fatigue, fibromyalgia, irritable bowel, and other physical symptoms.

Chiropractic and Massage puts people into a state of rest. It lets the body know that it is free of danger and that it can relax and heal. The body can more efficiently digest food and effectively repair itself. Massage releases endorphins, which are the body’s natural painkillers. Endorphins are released and these endorphins allow the mind to switch off and the body to fully rest. They calm the nervous system and promote a feeling of wellbeing. Massage lessens anxiety and depression.
